Text Box: Mid-South Music 2008 Repair Price List MINIMUM CHARGE: $25.00 plus parts and materials Woodwind Instruments P.C.- Playing Condition: Includes any work necessary to put the instrument in top playing condition. Charges are based on an hourly rate for labor, plus parts used. Complete Repad: Consists of replacing all pads, tenon corks, key corks, any necessary springs, and tightening loose keys as much as possible. The instrument is cleaned, adjusted, and tested to play as good as new. No polishing is done in a repad. Complete Overhaul: Same as described above, plus, all dents are removed and the instrument is polished. Any instruments that were lacquered are re-lacquered with a baked-on epoxy lacquer. Instrument looks and plays like new. Replating: Gold, silver, and nickel plating are available upon request. Often, when work is in progress, it is discovered that more work is needed, or that a part must be replaced, that was not noticed by the person who did the estimate. We reserve the right to do whatever is needed to put the instrument in top playing condition. We make it a policy to contact the customer if the total cost will exceed the estimate by more than $50.00. BRASS INSTRUMENTS MINIMUM Charge: $25.00 plus parts and materials Playing Condition: Whatever is needed to make the instrument play properly. Charged at an hourly rate plus parts and materials. Flush & Accessible Dents: Consists of cleaning and sterilizing inside and out, pulling stuck slides, replacing water key and valve corks and felts. New valve or water key springs when necessary. Accessible dents are removed, and the instrument is restored to top playing condition. Major dents and needed parts are extra Complete Overhaul: Consists of complete disassembly of the instrument, removing all dents, complete sterilizing inside and out, replacing all water key and valve corks and felts, and replacing water key or valve springs if needed. The instrument is polished and lacquered with a top quality epoxy lacquer. The instrument is made to look and play as close to new as possible. (Replacement parts, excessive dents, or serious pits in the brass will be at extra charge) Economy Overhauls: 80% of the normal Complete Overhaul price. Consists of removing only major dents, and a minimum of buffing and polishing. The instrument is lacquered with a top quality epoxy lacquer.
